What is the course and who is it for?
Who is the course for?
This course is for women who have been through an abortion(s) and are Christians, and who wish to receive healing and restoration in this area of their lives. The course offers a safe place for women to share their experiences in a small group setting and step-by-step work though different emotions and consequences following an abortion. Confidentiality is always respected.
Many of those who had an abortion when they were Christians tell us that they feel that they have lost their faith or feel distant from God. We recommend that you come on the course even if you feel unsure about your faith. We will not judge you. We seek to welcome you into a warm, loving group with God’s grace in Christ. Even if you feel far from God at the moment, come as you are now.
[Please note: it is important that the abortion was more than one year before the start of the course – see FAQ section for further details if the abortion was less than one year. For women who are not Christians but would like help in this area, we suggest contacting the course representative who might be able to refer an enquiry outside of the Restore and Rebuild network.]
How long is the course?
The course is run over 9 weeks one evening per week. Many churches run their course on a Monday. There is also one all day Saturday session. A meal is provided at the beginning of each course evening. This is followed by an interactive talk, discussion/sharing and prayer.
